  • At least one author must register by the deadline advised by the track coordinators;
  • If the article belongs to the “Research”, “Innovative Ideas and Emerging Results”, “Experience Reports” or “Junia Coutinho Anacleto Award” track, and if the article is not covered by any registration in the Professional category, the ACM Publication Fee must be paid (R$ 120,00), also by the deadline advised by the track coordinators;

Extra publication

For articles accepted in the “Research”, “Innovative Ideas and Emerging Results”, “Experience Reports” and “Junia Coutinho Anacleto Award” tracks: publication will be carried out by ACM and it is conditional upon the registration, in the Professional category, of at least one of the authors of the article; or, if no one registered in this category, upon the payment of an additional publication fee, in addition to the registration. The publication fee is also charged for each additional article.

For the other tracks: the publication will be carried out in SOL and it is conditional upon the registration, in any category, of at least one of the authors of the article. For the publication of more than one article linked to the same registration, the publication fee will also be charged for each additional article.

Discounts for caravans

The IHC 2024 organization will grant special discounts for student caravans (undergraduate or graduate). For every 10 (ten) students registered and paid in the same caravan, 2 (two) extra free registrations (courtesy) will be granted, in the same category as those paying. The free registration applies exclusively to the XXIII Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing Systems, that is, it does not include extra activities such as workshops and mini-courses.

The steps for caravan registrations are as follows:

  • Students who are going to participate in the caravan registration must register on ECOS and pay their registration fees.
  • The registered students who will benefit from the free registration must also register on ECOS but should not make the payment.

Once registrations are completed and paid, the caravan coordinator must send an email to: faturamento@sbc.org.br with the subject “Caravana [name of your institution]“, containing in the body of the message the list of names of the students who are part of the group, indicating the names of paying students and the names of students entitled to free registration.

Payment methods

Payment for registrations can be made via bank slip (boleto bancário), credit card, Banco do Brasil account debit, purchase order (nota de empenho), and billing through the SBC registration system. Payments by bank slip and debit close on Oct 4th, 2024, while payments by credit card, purchase order, and billing will remain open until the last day of the event.

Registration by purchase order and billing

The participant must access the ECOS system and complete the registration, selecting the payment method “purchase order” or “billing” and clicking on pay, the system will provide the necessary information that must be included in the purchase order or billing request.
