In its twenty-third edition, this is the fourth year that the Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing Systems (IHC) has had an Accessibility Coordination to help the general organization to officially and systematically think about accessibility resources for the event.
The goal is to continually improve so that future editions of IHC are increasingly accessible and inclusive for the community interested in Human-Computer Interaction study topics.
Therefore, we are opening this call for applications for exemption from registrations at IHC 2024 for People with Disabilities.
The total number of registrations to be free is 4 (four), regardless of the registration category (high school student, undergraduate student, postgraduate student, basic or professional education teacher). The criteria for selecting people entitled to exemption will be as follows:
For those interested, please send the responses to the above criteria in a single email to the email address ihc2024@ifb.edu.br until September 06, 2024.
At the time of notification, the registration must be completed by the applicant in the ECOS system of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) and, after completing the form, we ask that you choose the “bank slip” payment option. The slip must be sent to the email address ihc2024@ifb.edu.br.
The accessibility resources to be made available in part of the event program will be: LIBRAS Interpreter and English/Portuguese Interpreter.
