Submissions should align with the conference&#8217;s topics of interest.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Posters<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> session is intended for the presentation and discussion of work in progress, at an early or intermediate stage, that does not yet have consolidated results but is relevant to the HCI field and its community.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Demonstrations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> session is intended for the presentation of interactive computing systems of various kinds, either under development or already completed, that are relevant to HCI and its community. These may include, but are not limited to, new design solutions, new interaction styles, smart environments, Internet of Things solutions, Augmented and Virtual Reality, games, interactive digital art, and related topics.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>International Papers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> session invites authors who wish to present work accepted or published in international journals or conferences and bring it closer to the Brazilian HCI community, increasing its visibility among people working in the field, both in Brazil and abroad.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Across all sessions, submissions are welcome from authors who seek constructive feedback from active members of the HCI community in Brazil.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e547be0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"e547be0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Submissions for Posters and Demonstrations\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5456fe5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5456fe5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submissions must be anonymous, between 2 and 4 pages long, excluding references, and must follow the formatting specified in the SBC template. Authors must follow <a href=\"https:\/\/horizontes.sbc.org.br\/index.php\/2021\/01\/guia-rapido-para-submissao-anonima-proteja-sua-identidade-corretamente\/\">the anonymization instructions.<\/a><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authors must also follow the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sol.sbc.org.br\/index.php\/indice\/conduta\"><b>SBC Code of Conduct for Authors in Publications<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/a><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, we strongly recommend that authors consult the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sigchi.org\/resources\/guides-for-authors\/accessibility\/\"><b>SIGCHI Guide to an Accessible Submission<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the guides available on the website of UNIRIO\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/nau.uniriotec.br\/index.php\/links-uteis\/guias-do-nau\"><b>Accessibility and Usability Group (NAU)<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Changes to the submission language or to the list of authors will not be allowed after submission.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authors must submit their work electronically, in PDF format, through the <\/span><b>JEMS 3<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> system.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submissions to the <\/span><b>Posters<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> session are expected to include:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A clear and explicit statement of the contribution and originality of the work: What is the problem? How can your proposed approach help address it? How does your approach relate to existing ones?<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A focus on the contribution of the work rather than on theoretical background, including only enough theoretical grounding to make clear how the work differs from existing research.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For <\/span><b>Demonstrations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in addition to the items listed above, submissions must include:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A description of the system and its scientific and\/or technological contribution, including its social and HCI-related impacts.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submissions to the Posters and Demonstrations Track may be selected based on the significance of the problem addressed or on the originality of the proposed approach.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a demonstration is accepted, the track chairs will contact the authors to gather information on the setup required for the presentation, including the space needed, devices the authors intend to bring, audience interaction, and other relevant details.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cb406a6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"cb406a6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Submissions for International Papers\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1ab90fb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1ab90fb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For <\/span><b>International Papers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the selection criteria are:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Works accepted or published in 2025 or 2026;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The relevance of the work\u2019s contribution to the Brazilian HCI community;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Works accepted or published in international journals with a rigorous review policy based on full-paper review by an editorial board of recognized standing in the field, and that have not yet had the opportunity to be presented to the Brazilian HCI community. Examples of venues include: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TOCHI<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TACCESS<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interactions<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interacting with Computers<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Behaviour &amp; Information Technology<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">International Journal of Human-Computer Studies<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UAIS<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Works accepted or published in the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Journal on Interactive Systems<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (JIS), provided that they are not extended versions of papers previously published at IHC;<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Works accepted or published in high-quality international conferences with a rigorous review policy based on full-paper review by a program committee of recognized standing in the field, and that are relevant to the Brazilian HCI community. Examples of venues include: CHI, CSCW, CUI, IMX, ECSCW, NordiCHI, Interact, EICS, IUI, DIS, ASSETS, W4A, and CHI PLAY.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authors must submit their work electronically as a single PDF file through the <\/span><b>JEMS 3<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> system. The submission should include all the items listed below, in free format:<\/span><\/p><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Title:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This may be the same as the title of the accepted\/published work;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Abstract:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This may be the same as the abstract of the accepted\/published work;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Publication venue:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Full reference in ACM format;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Link to the original paper:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A valid link to the accepted\/published original work;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Why would you like to present this work to the HCI community?<\/b><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Has any work related to this project already been published at Brazilian events?<\/b><b><br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If so, please specify. This information will not be used for disqualification. In cases of substantial disagreement or inconsistency between reviews, a third review will be requested. If the submission is accepted, authors should take the reviewers\u2019 comments into account when preparing the final version of the paper.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-40accff elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"40accff\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Presentation and Publication\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9b163f6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9b163f6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At IHC 2026, selected works will be presented in a dedicated session that addresses related topics, the methods used, experiences with the submission process, reviewers\u2019 comments, and other relevant aspects.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authors of papers published in international journals and conferences are expected to contextualize their work during the presentation session, fostering discussion and shared learning. Through this format, we aim to promote the dissemination of these works and encourage exchange about submission and review processes in international venues. All accepted works must be presented at the conference, even if the authors choose not to publish the extended version.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accepted papers will be published in the IHC 2026 Extended Proceedings, indexed in SBC OpenLib. At least one author must register for the event and present the accepted work in person during the conference&#8217;s collective, interactive exhibition. Posters and demonstrations will be presented during the event according to the conference schedule.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Information about procedures, recommendations, and
