Nas \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, testemunhamos avan\u00e7os extraordin\u00e1rios, desde o controle de pr\u00f3teses rob\u00f3ticas por sinais cerebrais at\u00e9 o desenvolvimento de neuropr\u00f3teses sensoriais, tecnologias assistivas e novas estrat\u00e9gias terap\u00eauticas para doen\u00e7as neurol\u00f3gicas. Entretanto, apesar dos resultados impressionantes e das expectativas frequentemente grandiosas, a consolida\u00e7\u00e3o dessas tecnologias ainda enfrenta obst\u00e1culos fundamentais. A extraordin\u00e1ria complexidade das intera\u00e7\u00f5es entre c\u00e9rebro e m\u00e1quina, a variabilidade da atividade neural, as limita\u00e7\u00f5es das interfaces e os desafios de interpreta\u00e7\u00e3o e modula\u00e7\u00e3o dos sinais cerebrais imp\u00f5em barreiras que frequentemente separam demonstra\u00e7\u00f5es experimentais promissoras de aplica\u00e7\u00f5es robustas e amplamente acess\u00edveis. Nesta palestra, discutiremos a evolu\u00e7\u00e3o das interfaces c\u00e9rebro-computador sob uma perspectiva cr\u00edtica, explorando suas principais conquistas, limita\u00e7\u00f5es e desafios cient\u00edficos e tecnol\u00f3gicos. Abordaremos como os avan\u00e7os em neuroci\u00eancia, intelig\u00eancia artificial, modelagem computacional, processamento de sinais e sistemas embarcados est\u00e3o abrindo novas possibilidades para o desenvolvimento de neurotecnologias mais inteligentes, adaptativas e personalizadas. Particular aten\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 dedicada aos sistemas de malha fechada (closed-loop), capazes de interpretar a atividade cerebral e adaptar suas respostas dinamicamente, aproximando-nos de uma intera\u00e7\u00e3o verdadeiramente bidirecional entre c\u00e9rebro e m\u00e1quina. Foi professor da Universidade Federal de S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o del-Rei (UFSJ), onde fundou o Laborat\u00f3rio Interdisciplinar de Neuroengenharia e Neuroci\u00eancias (LINNce). Foi tamb\u00e9m pesquisador do Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) e da Universidade de G\u00eanova, na It\u00e1lia, onde desenvolveu pesquisas como Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Individual Fellow financiadas pelo programa Horizons da Uni\u00e3o Europeia. style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><p><b>Atividade colaborativa<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> para identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de desafios cient\u00edficos, tecnol\u00f3gicos e
