A year later, on the eve of HCI 2025 in Belo Horizonte, we proposed a one-day in-person meeting in the historic city of Ouro Preto to reflect, discuss, and co-create collective strategies for addressing these challenges.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event, titled &#8220;Culture, Connections, and the Grand Challenges of HCI,&#8221; will be a pre-congress focused on community integration, experience sharing, and planning concrete actions.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We hope to welcome participants from different regions of Brazil, especially those already traveling to the XXIV Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing Systems (HCI 2025). The city of Ouro Preto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a charming city that combines baroque art, rich Minas Gerais cuisine, and stunning natural landscapes. In addition to its important architectural heritage and museums, it offers visitors a unique experience with eco-tourism options along trails, waterfalls, and nearby mountains: a perfect invitation to
