elementor-size-default\">Call for Registration Fee Exemption for Persons with Disabilities<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c9b159e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c9b159e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In its twenty-third edition, this is the fourth year that the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ihc.sbc.org.br\/2024\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing Systems (IHC)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has had an Accessibility Coordination to help the general organization to officially and systematically think about accessibility resources for the event.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The goal is to continually improve so that future editions of IHC are increasingly accessible and inclusive for the community interested in Human-Computer Interaction study topics.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, we are opening this call for applications for exemption from registrations at IHC 2024 for People with Disabilities.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The total number of registrations to be free is<\/span><b> 4 (four)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, regardless of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ihc.sbc.org.br\/2024\/inscricoes\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">registration category<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (high school student, undergraduate student, postgraduate student, basic or professional education teacher). The criteria for selecting people entitled to exemption will be as follows:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Information on type of disability (up to two people with the same type will be included, in case of excess demand);<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Justification of interest in participating in IHC 2024;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Estimated availability to travel to Bras\u00edlia to participate in the event in person, from October 7 to 11, 2024;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Availability of financial resources to cover the costs of transportation, food and accommodation in Bras\u00edlia.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For those interested, please send the responses to the above criteria in a single email to the email address ihc2024@ifb.edu.br <\/span><b>until September 06, 2024<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the time of notification, the registration must be completed by the applicant in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/centraldesistemas.sbc.org.br\/ecos\/ihc2024\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ECOS system<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) and, after completing the form, we ask that you choose the \u201cbank slip\u201d payment option.
