The IHC 2024 paper templates are still being developed and will soon be available here. We are working on a version that is accessible for sending to different profiles of participants that IHC expects to receive.<\/span><\/p>

Before starting to write or format your paper for submission, we suggest you use the <\/span>Guidelines for creating accessible documents in Word<\/span><\/a>, from the UNIRIO Accessibility and Usability Center (NAU). This link contains a PDF file with useful guidelines for you to deliver an accessible file to people who use screen readers (reviewers and those interested in your research). In addition to this material, we recommend the guidance from the course<\/span> Production of accessible digital documents<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>

If you are using a LateX model, the tutorial on how to make your final version of the PDF file accessible (<\/span>Making Your Final PDF Accessible<\/span><\/a>), available on the CHI 2021 website, can help you improve the readability of the content of your article. This tutorial is in English, but the page translation feature available in the Google Chrome browser can help you understand the instructions in Portuguese.<\/span><\/p>

People who use Google Docs on Drive need to be careful because when opening any model created in an offline tool (SBC or ACM, for example), the formatting is automatically changed, generating elements not identifiable by screen readers \u201cinvisible to eyes.” Therefore, it is recommended that authors ensure that the final version of the PDF is accessible.<\/span><\/p>

Regardless of the model you decide to use, make sure that the file you are delivering is accessible to accommodate the multiplicity of differences in the audience that IHC 2024 wants to welcome.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Suppose this is your first paper submission using the JEMS (Journal and Event Management System) system. In that case, you can create your account by accessing the <\/span>create your account here<\/span><\/a> link. Once you have registered, you: (1) can access JEMS and locate the<\/span> IHC 2024<\/span><\/a> track of interest that you wish to submit or, if you are browsing the IHC 2024 website, (2) you can click on the access link direct to submission on the desired track. For example, to submit to the <\/span>Research Track<\/span><\/a>, the direct link is available at <\/span>IHC 2024 \u2013 Research Track<\/span><\/a>. We seek to make IHC a widely accessible event. To this end, good accessibility practices have been adopted since the <\/span>IHC 2021<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>

We have made efforts to make accessible posts on social media, as well as trying to offer an accessible website, and encouraging the adoption of accessibility features in publications and work presentations.<\/span><\/p>

When entering the <\/span>IHC 2024 registration page<\/span><\/a> and being directed to the Brazilian Computing Society’s <\/span>ECOS<\/span><\/a> (Event Registration and Coordination System) platform, consider the following alternatives:<\/span><\/p>

  1. If this is your first time using the system, you must create your account using the <\/span>New Account >><\/span><\/a> link and then return to the IHC 2024 registration page;<\/span><\/li>
  2. If you already have an account in the system, you must authenticate by entering the form \u201cAre you already a user?\u201d your email and password. When you do so, you will be directed to the IHC 2024 registration form, which is organized into six sections: (1) Registrant Information; (2) Category; (3) Extras; (4) Authorization of the use of image and speech; (5) Payment information; (6) Payment Method.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

    After filling out all the fields, you must click on the \u201cSave Registration\u201d button at the end of the form.<\/span><\/p>

    The IHC 2024 Accessibility Coordination is preparing a slide model that meets accessibility requirements. We will make it available soon.<\/span><\/p>

    Adoption of the model is not mandatory. Whether you adopt it or not, we ask that you observe the following recommendations so that your presentation is accessible to more people:<\/span><\/p>
