Call for Papers

The Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing Systems (IHC) is the largest Brazilian national event in the area of ​​Human-Computer Interaction. In 2020, it had an H5 of 11 and is improving. It is an event classified by CAPES with stratum A3 in the 2017-2020 four-year period.

For this 23rd edition, we invite all interested people to submit papers to the Research Track that contribute to the scientific development of the area. Research Track papers are publications that demonstrate original research in the area of ​​HCI, not published or subject to review in another forum. Publications with high-quality, solid academic research results and clear contributions to the HCI area are expected. Contributions should include study results that provide new evidence about HCI research or application. In the Research Track, papers must present consolidated results of high relevance, proven to be unpublished and with adequate validation, according to the type of research method used.

The Research Track will follow the “Revise and resubmit” review process.

Best Papers

The selection of the best papers in the track will follow the process described on the “Best Papers Awards” page.

The authors of the best papers will be invited to submit an extended version in English, with at least 35% original content, in the Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society (JBCS) or Journal on Interactive Systems (JIS).

Presentation

Article presentations during the event will only be made in person. The coordination of the Research Track will send emails to the authors specifying the details, including the maximum presentation length and slide models.
